We recently created a series of high-impact 60 second social media videos for Flip Out, an indoor trampoline and adventure park that’s just arrived on the kids’ entertainment scene. Although our HQ is located in Melbourne, we are a leading producer of social media videos Australia-wide.

Flip Out features parkour, airbags, ninja warrior zones, climbing walls, play groups, birthday parties, and of course plenty of their signature green trampolines!

It was our job to capture the controlled mayhem in a way that showcased all of the different play zones. We had two key target markets to speak to. Firstly, the kids and teens that will use the adventure park. We simply showed them kids their age enjoying all of the equipment and freely running and jumping around in a parent-free zone. It’s not that parents can’t use the equipment - it’s just that they’ll probably be much more comfortable enjoying a refreshment in the café!

We also needed to reassure parents that Flip Out is a safe space for their children to play in. Not only is it constructed with high levels of safety in mind eg lots of padding and cushioning, there is also plenty of supervision from highly-trained staff. It’s not without risk but these are clearly communicated by staff and consent must be given before entering the park.

Promotional videos are vitally important for new businesses. They should be informative, educational and engaging. Although there are many different tools we can use in this style of video, this promo is mostly observational in style. It doesn’t include voiceover as we wanted to “show not tell” but we do use a music track to reflect the high levels of energy inside.

Thinking about your intended use for a video will inform its length and style too. Although this video is 60 seconds in its full duration, we can grab ‘cut downs’ - short, sharp, attention-grabbing clips - for social media purposes. This makes it a pretty cost-effective device to have in your communications toolkit.
