The Melbourne Cup and Spring Racing Carnival is the point in the Spring calendar that kicks off all the major events in Melbourne and Geelong, with 4 days of racing and socialising at Flemington. Although there is plenty of track action, we’re usually in attendance to photograph the social activities around the VRC and The Birdcage.
Over the years, we have syndicated our Birdcage event photos globally via photography agencies, gaining photographer access to celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Rose Byrne, Dita Von Teese, Cadel Evans, Geri Haliwell, Hamish & Andy, Liz Cambage, Buddy Franklin, Marco Pierre White, Delta Goodrem Sophie Monk who have graced the Lavazza, Lexus, Swisse, Myer, and Emirates marquees.
Another photography service that we have offered to Birdcage marquee residents during Cup week, is the capture of social media images for use during the carnival and beyond.
We have photographed the construction and fit outs of several of the marquees, as well as catering, guests and the general atmosphere during the event. These photos are great for sharing on instagram and Facebook for guests and clients to share which allows for brand recognition, tagging and branding.
Several marquees made use of their celebrity guests to hammer home their brand identities by scheduling photocalls against their branded media walls, ensuring a 40 strong pack of photographers descended on their marquee at a designated time for maximum buzz in the marquee and exposure on the socials afterwards.
